[Kuromon Market]

A lively gourmet destination with lots of shops where you can sample food as you stroll around

The market is known as Osaka's Kitchen, bustling with chefs and general customers who have come to shop for their food. This gourmet destination where you can sample food casually as you stroll around is gaining attention from international tourists. The market originated when merchants began to trade sea products here, and it then developed as a shopping street with both retailers and wholesalers. Roughly 170 shops including fishmongers stand side by side on this street of about 580 m in length. Many shops have eat-in spaces where you can relish what you want to try on the spot.
