The most beautiful among the valleys of Mt. Ashitaka which is located in the upstream of Sudo River in Fuji-shi. It is one of the most beautiful places to see the delightful beautiful valley and autumn foliage in Shizuoka, where people in large numbers visit during the autumn season. The Otana Falls can be viewed up close from the center of the suspension bridge called the Takimi-bashi. Make a detour from the promenade in the woods towards the basin of the waterfall and feel the power of water falling from 21m of height. Access Approx. 40-minute drive from "Shin-Fuji Station" of JR Tokaido Shinkansen.
Take the Fujikyu Shizuoka Bus from "Shin-Fuji Station" of JR Tokaido Shinkansen for approx. 7 minutes and alight at "Fuji Eki Minami-guchi". Take the JR Main Line from JR "Fuji Station" for approx. 3 minutes, alight at "Yoshiwara Station". Take the Gakunan Electric Train for approx. 17 minutes, alight at "Gakunan Densha Sudo Station" and take a taxi for approx. 20 minutes.
