[Nichigetsu-Monaka Sohonpo Kawamuraya]

A century-old traditional specialty of Asuke

Nichigetsu-Monaka Sohonpo Kawamuraya is a long-standing Japanese confectionery established in 1916. Its signature sweet is "Nichigetsu-Monoka", which has the flag emblem of Lord Asuke Shigenori, the 7th head of the Asuke clan, on it. Hand-made one by one, the delicate sweet is available in two varieties: the customer favorite white sweet bean paste, and adzuki bean paste. Both are sandwiched between thin, light wafers. People have been loving the rich yet elegantly sweet bean paste and crispy wafers. You can of course take some home with you, and enjoy one or two freshly made in the shop.
