[Iwayado Park]

A nature-filled park where visitors can enjoy the autumn foliage along a river valley

Iwayado Park gets its name from a small shrine under a huge natural boulder found in the park. Waterfalls, giant boulders, valleys-the diverse landscapes of the park brim with nature. The Tokai Shizen Hodo (Tokai Nature Trail), a hiking trail that continues to Jokoji Park and beyond, also passes through the park. The colors and landscapes of the park transform throughout the year-a natural pool forms when overgrowth blocks the river in the summer, and autumn foliage blazes in the fall. The sight of the autumn leaves blanketing the valley is particularly stunning. In the fall, illuminations are held in the evening. When the trees light up, the colorful autumn foliage is reflected on the water's surface, and many people come to have fun taking photographs.
