Nagoya Airport: A hub for small aircraft

Many domestic and international flights used to fly in and out of this airport. The majority of its routes were transferred to Chubu Centrair International Airport when the newer, larger airport opened, and Nagoya Airport now serves as a hub for smaller aircraft such as commuter planes and business jets. The Japan Air Self-Defense Force's Komaki air base is right next door and shares a runway with the airport, so you can watch their planes take off and land from the observation deck.
